Our Residential Projects
Residence P -
Skidmore, TX
The design for this South Texas Ranch home focused on transforming the 1960’s design into a modern and functional main house for this working ranch. The original design was based on traditional farm houses and contained very few hallways, forcing circulation through bedrooms and other private spaces. The redesign created circulation paths throughout the residence, which was completely remodeled inside and out. An addition, containing a new living area downstairs and a new master suite upstairs, provided necessary additional square footage. The addition is connected to the existing structure by a two-story entry and monumental double staircase. Traditional stucco, limestone, and cedar exteriors enhance the traditional look desired by the client.
RESIDENCE M –
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX
A young, successful couple in Corpus Christi, Texas acquired the design services of Gignac & Associates for their new family residence on Ocean Drive. The family had acquired, and would be merging, two full-size home lots in the semi-secluded “Tanglewood” area off of Ocean Drive, in Corpus Christi. Our firm created a detailed site plan for the residents, including an architectural security wall, optimal orientation of the home, and relationships to existing site landscapes. The 3-story home and its pool side guest house have a modern feel blended with wood accents to merge the disparate tastes of the couple.
RESIDENCE HL –
PADRE ISLAND, TX
Designed for a couple with modern tastes, this home sits just behind the dunes on Mustang Island. The open plan provides a light-filled living space to house the couple’s art collection. Built for entertaining, the first floor contains bedrooms and guest amenities, while the 2nd floor contains the couples living space. Special attention was given to the materials and building system for this home to withstand the harsh elements on the beach and comply with necessary windstorm codes. Sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico are provided for all living spaces, while specialty lighting highlights glass and painted works of art from the couple’s collection. The construction also includes an elevator.
RESIDENCE G –
CORPUS CHRISTI, TX
This private residence on Ocean Blvd. in Corpus Christi, is very secluded because it is surrounded by lush vegetation. The bright colors and open spaces give the house a warm, beach-house feel. Gignac | Architects designed the residence on a property facing the bay with a pool and patio, which is covered by a pergola to protect the residents from the hot South Texas sun.

Renovation of a private residence.
Atlantic Lofts
In 2006, an ambitious development and investment group out of Roundrock, Texas had the idea to develop residential housing near the downtown Corpus Christi area. The group purchased an historic, yet unmaintained empty office building in the area. The building was in poor condition and covered in gold shutters, and was nicknamed “The Shutters Building”. The building was originally a prestigious office complex called the Atlantic Richfield Building. The group of investors selected Gignac & Associates to completely renovate the desolate seven-story building into high-end lofts. The project was completed on-time and within budget. The building was transformed into beautiful living spaces with magnificent views, comfortable balconies, and custom interiors.
