The design for this South Texas Ranch home focused on transforming the 1960’s design into a modern and functional main house for this working ranch. The original design was based on traditional farm houses and contained very few hallways, forcing circulation through bedrooms and other private spaces. The redesign created circulation paths throughout the residence, which was completely remodeled inside and out. An addition, containing a new living area downstairs and a new master suite upstairs, provided necessary additional square footage. The addition is connected to the existing structure by a two-story entry and monumental double staircase. Traditional stucco, limestone, and cedar exteriors enhance the traditional look desired by the client.
