In 2006, an ambitious development and investment group out of Roundrock, Texas had the idea to develop residential housing near the downtown Corpus Christi area. The group purchased an historic, yet unmaintained empty office building in the area. The building was in poor condition and covered in gold shutters, and was nicknamed “The Shutters Building”. The building was originally a prestigious office complex called the Atlantic Richfield Building. The group of investors selected Gignac & Associates to completely renovate the desolate seven-story building into high-end lofts. The project was completed on-time and within budget. The building was transformed into beautiful living spaces with magnificent views, comfortable balconies, and custom interiors.
